Rancho Mirage is a blossoming city that sits in the midst of the beautiful Coachella Valley. The year-round population is around 17,000 people— this gives it a small town feel, while still having access to big city amenities with Palm Desert and Cathedral City just minutes away. Rancho Mirage is known as a resort city, which means: golf courses (13 to be exact), spas, hotels, and other comforts dot the area for year-round and seasonal residents alike. Although Palm Springs often gets the spotlight for its rich history of old and new Hollywood— Rancho Mirage has its fair share of excitement. The historical Sunnylands built just after World War II in the early 1960s is a central site in the area— known for its mid-century design and pink roof– Sunnylands has one of the most iconic guest lists ranging from Frank Sinatra, Truman Capote, and Ginger Rogers to political giants, such as Barack Obama and Queen Elizabeth the II. Gerald and Betty Ford, former president and first lady, also made their home in Rancho Mirage— and were engaged community members throughout their lives. The city also boasts of public amenities such as an observatory, seven public parks, and plenty of hiking. If stargazing and hiking are not up your alley— there is plenty of shopping, a beautiful movie theatre, the Brandini Toffee Factory, and tons of good food at local restaurants throughout the downtown area! If you have children and are curious what the education options are you will be happy to know there are both public and private schools located in Rancho Mirage. Additionally, there is the SBBCollege College Campus, which is a great opportunity for those continuing their education, and the campus brings in aspiring business professionals. Rancho Mirage is a place many have called home throughout history, and now, perhaps, this is the place you too will call home.
